Recreation and Athletics at the University of Regina offers a number of programs during the summer months as well as throughout the year. There are programs for children and adults. Summer Sports School, for the kids, focuses on physical literacy as well as integration with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics). Cougar and Rams camps focus on skill development in their respective sports (football, track, volleyball, soccer and hockey). We also offer public memberships for the Fitness Centre, and fitness programs.

SUMMER PROGRAMS
The following summer programs are offered at the U of R: Summer Sports School, Cougar Athletic Camps, Rams Football Camp, Swimming Lessons, Martial Arts and New Beginnings.
PD DAYS AND SCHOOL BREAKS
There are camps offered throughout the year on school breaks and pd days. Our Summer Sports School Days program (offered on non-school/pd days) is a continuation of our Summer Sports School program that includes a variety of activities that may include art, sport, and science! The emphasis is for participants to have fun, meet others, become physically active and learn new skills. All activities will be planned, facilitated and supervised by instructors and will be modified to suit the age level and ability of the participants. Swimming may be added closer to the day. No previous experience is necessary.
LIFESAVING SOCIETY LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAM
Our swimming programs have something for all ages, private or group.
NEW BEGINNINGS
New Beginnings is a program for newcomers to Canada. It focuses on providing recreation and classroom activities to support children ages 5-12 as they get used to living in Canada. This program is run in partnership with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

ADULTS
UR Fit and Fitness and Lifestyle Centre – Find a workout on land or in the water. The Fitness and Lifestyle Centre features a 4 lane 200 metre indoor track, and a great selection of cardio, plate loaded, selectorized and free weight equipment, and a core strength/stretching area. There is also a variety of Fitness Programs aimed at promoting active and healthy lifestyles. Classes are tailored to meet the needs and general fitness levels of participants and can accommodate a range of fitness levels within each class. These classes work toward improving cardiovascular efficiency, flexibility, muscular endurance, coordination and muscle tone.
The U of R also offers spin, yoga, Zumba, boxing, step, pound, body sculpt, and water workout classes!
